The 2025 Burley Show will be held on Bank Holiday Monday 25th August from 2.15pm to 4.45pm at the Queen’s Hall, Main Street, Burley in Wharfedale.
The Show Schedule and Entry Form will be published nearer the date of the Show.
In the nineteenth century Burley in Wharfedale was a busy mill village and the local mill owners encouraged their workers to grow fruit and vegetables.
1858 - The first Show was held with the hope that through competition, the quality of the workers' produce would improve. Shows were held until the 1920's.
1982 – After the 1920’s, various attempts were made to revive the Show but it was not until 1982 when the Friends of the Round House, a committee set up by Burley Community Council, succeeded in putting on a Show in The Grange. A Show has been held annually in August since that time.
1984 – The Show became known as “Burley Show”.
1985 - Burley Show, increasing in size each year, moved to a marquee adjacent to the Round House.
1995 – Burley Show moved again to Burley Middle School.
1996 - It was agreed to become independent from the Community Council and change the name from the Flower Show Committee to Burley Gardeners' Association.
2000 - Burley Show moved to its current location at the Queens Hall.
